Welcome to Intentional parenting
This is the home of the migrant parents raising children in diaspora. We are a community of parents making a difference one family at a time. We host webinars, workshops and summits talking all things parenting.
We are passionate about seeing families thrive through education, raising awareness on pertinent issues affecting families in diaspora. We understand that if you want to go fast you go alone, however if you want to go far you need a community. Intentional Parenting community is a safe space for parents to grow, through sharing of knowledge, strategies and ideas. Established in 2013 by our Founder, through peer-peer support to creating an online community in 2017 via Zoom. In 2017, we hosted 40 WEBINARS with an average attendance of 15parents on each session. We are going from strength to strength, with the 6am club being our backbone to date. We host social events as well to combat social isolation

ABOUT US
We are a community organization, working to support each other as parents in diaspora. We host daily mindfulness, meditation and prayer circle, Monday- Friday 6am-6:30am (term time) GMT via zoom and you can join us via this link here. We have weekly webinars discussing all things parenting in diaspora. We facilitate workshops to enhance the parenting experience. We host networking and social events to eliminate social isolation in parenthood and strengthen community support. We have parent champions who are willing to share their experience and expertise. We also have experienced professionals in health, education and social care who are able to help in those areas. For professionals looking to refer a family, please use this REFERRAL FORM
OUR MISSION
To equip migrant parents with knowledge, strategies and ideas to positively raise their children. To strengthen the parenting role through webinars, conversations and courses. To eliminate the fear that is often felt in migrant parenting community; fear of losing our children to the system, fear of losing our children to unknown cultures/ values and belief systems. Fear of being seen as a failing parent and all the other fears that people do not talk about. Intentional Parenting™️ seeks to equip parents with the right skills and mindsets so they can enjoy being parents, so they thrive at it and their children can flourish. We are creating the Intentional Parenting Framework that enables parents to be effective stewards and able helpers in the home. Research shows that women carry invisible labor in the family home. The program, is there to empower mothers through leadership and management skills in order to lessen this burden. We are keen to deconstruct the narrative that:
“Mother’s work is never done”.
